Raw materials collection is the first link in Centravo’s service chain. The product groups’ highly perishable nature and diversity, as well as the large collection areas and varying volumes involved, necessitate the implementation of a high-performance logistics organisation with well established processes.

Quickly perishable organic by-products from the food industry are transported by highly specialised vehicles to processing plants within just a few hours. The meat industry works according to its own laws: If the weather forecast promises good barbecue weather in the summer, the meat industry shifts into high gear, and the Centravo Group’s logistics system also needs to go into action.

The concept of quality has a multidimensional importance for Centravo Logistics. Customer-friendly flexibility and consistent compliance with all legal requirements related to hygiene, the environment, the workplace and road safety all play a major role here. Such compliance is made possible by exemplary handling of all goods – through traceability, temperature controlled shipping, and the transport of animal by-products in accordance with the provisions of the ABR (Animal By-products Regulation).

In accordance with the Group's principles, Centravo Logistics also consistently focuses on optimal environmental compatibility. The fleet is powered by biofuel (ecodiesel) provided by the company's own filling station, and Centravo Logistics is certified in accordance with the OHSAS/18001, ISO 22'000 and Bio standard.
