Odour hotline
The Hotline was set up within the framework of our environmental protection measures in order to ensure a quick response to any occurrence of odours near our facilities.
The material that GZM recycles and disposes of is organic in nature and therefore subject to odours. GZM is aware of this and takes precautions to keep odour emissions as low as possible.
An Advisory Commission, which is composed of representatives from BECO, local municipal authorities and GZM, coordinates the statutory odour measurements and monitors the corresponding procedures.
Should there be any perceived unpleasant odours in the vicinity of GZM nevertheless, and if it is suspected that these originate with GZM, GZM asks that it be rapidly notified of this, preferably through use of the Odour Hotline Form, which will then be forwarded for registration to the Advisory Commission office at the Lyss Buildings Department. This approach makes it possible to quickly locate and efficiently eliminate the odour source if necessary.
